Great location for those who like straightforward unpretentious skiing

Trysil is a resort which has something for all levels of skier. Well groomed slopes, although the signage of different routes and pistes was very poor in places. The Park Inn resort provides fantastic accommodation and facilities but beware of taking the self-catering option as there is no supermarket on site or within walking distance, and the ski-bus runs very infrequently. Everyone we met made us feel very welcome and we felt surrounded by people who just wanted to ski and have a fun holiday. Probably not the best place if you are hoping for brilliant apres ski.

Rating for tour operator:

Very helpful and friendly service provided during the booking process and before the holiday. Brilliant in-house tuition programme with small group sizes and loads of fun for the kids.
