Fabulous food, wine and culture brilliantly presented and organised

Uncompromising on quality and client satisfaction

We attended the Handel festival in Halle with a range of concerts, Operas and Oratorios, mostly evening performances. Daytimes were filled with bus trips to relevant nearby locations touching upon Handels life and work and a glimpse into JS Bach's life and work.

Well organised with an excellent tour manager and expert lecturer/ commentator.

I am widow of 75, nervous of travelling for the first time on my own and I had spent many hours wondering if I would be included with everyone else on this trip. It was not the slightest problem: not only was it a riveting time for me but I was with other like minded people, not closed and interested only in exchanging views with their travelling companions, but both socially and intellectually open. I was seduced into this period of history [of which I was ignorant] with lectures, excellent hotels, food and scenery. Instead of having to travel miles to find like minded people, as if by magic, they were all there in the coach with me! I know these holidays are by their very nature, expensive but instead of thinking about buying a new car, installing a new kitchen or whatever ---get out there with Martin Randall into the world and be excited by all it has to offer. Think of it as continuing education which you need and which you can rarely find.

Wonderful brochure, lots of information given and details of the sites we were to visit. There was a comprehensive reading list provided as well. I was met at the airport, accompanied on the plane and at no time did I feel left alone. The manager who accompanied us made us all feel welcome and included. There was little free time [many tours such as this have long periods'] which meant I was fully engaged with the tour and at no point felt left out. For some single travellers this 'socialising' is an important issue. It was especially important to someone like myself who was recently widowed to know that I can still travel and have a wonderful time amongst others, without having to worry about eating on my own, finding my way around or getting to cover as much as I could. I now have the confidence to experiment with more tours and I cannot thank Martin Randall enough for giving me this very special time to find I still had interests, could still socialise and enjoy myself. This tour operator is sensitive to so many of our needs.

The tour manager was great. Martin Randall chose restaurants that were not very good. The Japanese food in Washington DC is much better.

There were fourteen people in the group, nine of whom were Australian. Each day we visited museums and each evening attended concerts. The hotel was centrally situated so we were able to walk to most of the attractions. We had two lectures that were very interesting and often amusing. The people mixed well and the group was very compatible. The organisation was impeccable and everything ran very smoothly.

The tour manager was a very pleasant young woman who was always calm and coped with all situations. She spoke German fluently. Martin Randall organised the tour expertly and there were no hitches.

Culturally and culinarily 'perfect' but jet-lag is now taking its toll! Business class next time!

For many years I have enjoyed being a Martin Randall 'armchair' traveller as a result their visually-inviting brochures so as I have wanted to visit Japan since my student-days, the Art in Japan itinerary ideally satisfied my requirements.

Another fantastic MRT Gastronomic Tour. The excellent knowledge of the guide and the good choice of venues made this a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Beautifully planned, meticulously carried out, the footpaths of Umbria tour is a masterpiece no less impressive than the many Umbrian masterpieces it considers.

This was an introduction to the culture and the produce, food and wine of the Veneto. 8 days exploring some of the marvellous countryside, getting a snapshot of some of the historical influences on the region - art and architecture, viewing the produce and processes and tasting the local specialities - wine, grappa, olives, rice, cheese - under the guidance of experts in their fields.
