Opera in Drottningholm & Confidencen, Sweden; namely, Orpheus & Eurydice by Gluck. The singing and especially the production lifted us into a fairytale world for about 90 minutes. With seats almost in the small orchestra, we felt part of the action: quite wonderful.

MRT looked after everything for the group. We were there to see the two operas, not to worry about how to get to the opera houses. Excellent hotel accommodation and very good restaurants in the evening. Any questions were answered immediately, and the tour manager took responsibility for everything.

Walking to Santiago, June 2017. Great group of peregrinos who interacted extremely well with each other and the very personable and knowledgeable manager and architectural/cultural guide who responded positively and constructively to all requests and questions.

We went to 4 operas. had excellent seats. Hotel was very near the Opera House. We had a very good local guide (speciality art and architecture) + a music expert.

Very well organised. They followed up my message about not liking fish, so it was easy when we went to the pre-booked restaurants. Opera tickets in very good seats. Hotel near the Opera House.

Cave Art in France. I had seen the British Museum exhibition in London and wanted to learn more about the subject. All caves looked at were different. I learned a lot about this subject by seeing the paintings in their original settings and about the people who painted them. The tour lecturer and local guides were all very knowledgeable about their subjects. The tour manager looked after all members of the group very well, wIthout her help, I would not have been able to manage the final cave. She helped me round the difficult bends, this enable me to see the one cave I had especially wanted to see. I had a very enjoyable and memorable holiday, and am motivated to learn more about the subject.

I travel with Martin Randal Travel because I have been impressed with the care and attention given to members of the group travelling. I have always been very well looked after, and have found the tours well planned, and tour guides and managers well prepared for the trip.

We had four nights in Munich for the 2017 opera festival, staying in an excellent hotel in central Munich within walking distance of the opera house. Four completely different operas on consecutive nights provide music of the very highest calibre. We were escorted by Tom Abbott, an art historian of immense erudition who kept us constantly entertained and who was solicitor of our well-being throughout. As guest lecturer Professor Jan Smaczny provide us with detailed introduction to Munich and its music and to the individual operas - superb lectures.

I travelled with Martin Randall to the Gstaad Menuhin Festival. The best holiday I have ever had. The tour manager and lecturer were first class. Wonderful walks coupled with beautiful music combined with good food.. Heaven.

Martin Randall travel the creme de la creme of cultured tours.

A cruise on the Rhone. Excellent concerts in varied and historical venues on a theme with a good music lecturer. Wine tastings on board with a specialist lecturer snd visits to vineyards. A very comfortable ship with a caring crew. A perfect way to spend a week.

Martin Randall provide a service which would be difficult to replicate. From the initial booking to the holiday itself nothing was too much trouble. The organisation was excellent and despite the very detailed programme with a potential for disaster, it all worked.

Saw 5 Shakespeare plays (one at the Barbican, two at the Globe, & 2 in Stratford)and had lectures and discussion with scholar Charles Nicholl. He also took us around London to many places Shakespeare had either lived or worked such as the Middle Temple, the Rose and Globe Theaters, Shakespeare's lodging etc. Also went to the National Portrait Gallery to see paintings of Shakespeare and his contemporaries Also went to Eton College library to see original manuscripts, folios and quartos with lecture by the librarian there. Then on to Stratford to see more plays and visit Shakespeare's birthplace, Mary Arden's farm, Holy Trinity Church. We then went on to stay in St. David's in Wales for a week but that was not part of the tour.

Martin Randall had both professor Nicholl tp lead play discussions and lecture about Shakespeare and his contemporaries, but also Janice, our tour leader who managed the logistics of schedule, meals, transportation, hotel accommodations etc. Schedule was full but not too demanding with time for meals and breaks. I had been on another Martin Randall tour to Iran which was also excellent.

While I was on holiday in France with M R Travel last week I was taken ill and ended up in hospital.

I could not have asked to have been looked after better. One of their staff stayed with me all the time and interpreted for me and the hospital. Later a hotel overnight stay and train journey were organised so that the member of staff and me could join the rest of the tour the next day. MR staff were all lovely, kind, caring and efficient.
