It was wonderful to follow in the footsteps of the artist Piero della Francesca and to see his works in situ in the region's palaces, churches, chapels and museums, and to have his work situated in an art historical, cultural, social and political context

Martin Randall Tours consistently provide a high quality experience. Their staff are always well informed, courteous and efficient. The tour managers and lecturers are first rate.

A wonderful tour around San Sepolcro, Perugia, Urbino, Arezzo, Florence and Milan, seeing Piero’s marvellous works and also taking in other Renaissance art and artists. Our expert lecturer was just that, resulting in lively and engaging discussion. It wasn’t just informative though; with a group small enough to be cohesive, we enjoyed plenty of good food and drink in a wide range of places from the elegant to the exciting.

An extremely well organised tour, a wealth of clear information in advance and everything completed as promised. Our Tour Manager was terrific too, dealing with complicated arrangements calmly and clearly and again everything done as promised. Additionally, both the lecturer and manager were great company socially.

Ravenna and Urbino tour. The leader was a specialist in art and provided little historical information. Fine if you are mainly interested in art, but not if you want history as well. There was also an exhausting trip to Urbino where we spent as long in the bus as in looking at Urbino with the tour.

Limited itinerary because of the emphasis on art rather than history, but overcrowded and so exhausting for the old clients.

Martin Randall designed a Fantastic itinerary which took in all the important and accessible archeological sights, the beauty of modern areas, and the traditional cuisine of Malta.

A full-on programme guided us ( a group of just 16 people) round a wide variety of ancient sites in four different cities. The tour not only included visits to numerous mosques and madrassas in four cities, but provided experience of the Russian-built metro system in the capital, and an inpromptu visit to the ballet in Tashkent. Short and informative lectures were part of the programme too. Forewarned not to have high expectations, the food was unexceptional but plentiful. Gratefully, some free time was built into the schedule. A great experience.

They may seem on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for, and yet again Martin Randall covered every angle. The quality of the lecturer and guides never ceased to amaze and entertain. A privilege to be introduced in comprehensive style to the culture and history of this fascinating part of the Asian world.

Extremely efficient, courteous and professional in all the booking and organizing. When challenged with impossible logistics to get back to London due to the Queen's funeral they scrambled to make alternate arrangements for both the group and some individuals.

Our guide was Paul G Bahn the eminent pre historian. From the second day to the seventh we visited various caves in the Dordogne as well as in some cases accompanying museums.The weather was perfect, the mix of fellow group participants really good; Paul’s early evening lectures very informative, food and accommodation at a high standard.

Everything was totally professional.
