Extremely interesting tour of major historical palaces of Venice with very knowledgeable and engaging tour director We were able to visit numerous private homes which Showed the history of architecture and art of Venice as well as the history of Venice We would have got no where near the understanding of Venice on a more superficial tour

The tour operator was very professional in every aspect of this tour. There is not one aspect that I could fault Everything was well organised , Great accommodation, good food , seamless connections and total support

Trip to Venice entitled "Story of Venice" with an art historian guide - Dr Susan Steer - who is both charming and very knowledgeable. She informs in an engaging manner and no question is considered too small to ask.

Martin Randall Travel. Excellent from initial booking through to delivery of holiday. Hotel very comfortable and meals in restaurants were excellent. Private visit to St Marks was superb. Lovwly Lecturer added value to holiday and tour manager ensured everything ran smoothly.

So much variety, desert, mountains, oases, historical forts, seaside . Great hotels. A chance to make contact with locals. All enhanced by an extremely knowledgeable lecturer, very familiar with the country and fluent in Arabic. Extremely professional tour manager and great local guide. Tops.

13 days seeing the architectural/cultural/historical sites of Sicily, including Greek, Roman, Norman, and post-earthquake Baroque

This was my third trip with Martin Randall. Everything about the tour was excellent, with a knowledgeable tour leader and an excellent tour manager. Hotels were wonderful, restaurants were well chosen and not touristy, and the transportation provided was excellent. I have recommended this operator before and will do so again

We visited a delightful variety of places in Oman and our lecturer and local guide between them helped me to gain a considerable understanding of the country in a short time. The choice of hotels was good so we were always comfortable, well fed and surrounded by a bit of luxury. the tour manager, lecturer and local guide worked well together so that the tour went smoothly and I felt safe and well looked after.

They offer a wide range of special interest holidays and I've thoroughly enjoyed all the ones I've been on. The attention to detail is impressive and the choice of tour managers and lecturers is good.

tour to celebrate 500 years since the death of Raphael from his birth in Urbino, work in Florence, and work then death in Rome, contrasted with the later master Caravaggio.. All this in a week. This is a study tour and not a holiday and a certain amount of fitness is required. The highlight of the trip was just our small group in the Sistine Chapel early in the morning, a sight and experience i will never forget.

i have travelled with MRT before and this was up to the previous standard. I am sure there is a lot of work and planning behind the scenes but it is never obvious - stuff just happens. This tour manager, Charlotte, was particularly good. The tours aren't cheap but good hotels are chosen and money isn't stinted (eg we have four seven seater minibuses in Rome for 20 of us to allow for some social distancing. It would have been much cheaper to have had three minibuses or indeed one coach and made us walk much further). There was some doubt about whether I could join the tour and the office staff were very helpful and sympathetic. In the end I unscrambled my own arrangements but i am sure they would have helped had i asked.

Could not fault it. 100% perfect. Brilliant guide who has lived in the region for 30 years, so local mixed with encyclopaedic knowledge of cathedral architecture, art, history and literature. Communicated this knowledge well so learnt lots about an area of Spain I knew nothing about. Excellent itinerary staying in fantastic Paradores and eating Michelin star food, meeting the locals at festival time and dancing to folk music with them. What an experience.

Martin Randall provide some of the best escorted tours on the market. The guest lecturers and tour managers are excellent and the back office administration also meets the high standards of their holidays.

We enjoyed a 10 day tour through Castile and Leon with MRT. Both our tour manager and lecturer were superb in their respective roles, and the sites visited combined with the in-depth explanations were exemplary.

Our entire tour ran smoothly and kept our keen interest throughout. We've traveled with MRT previously and will do so again.
