Life Challenge in the Throne Room of the Mountain Gods.
Trekking to Concordia and approaching K2 has opened my eyes to what life is all about: personal physical and mental challenge; exposure to the fragile, unpredictable and precarious environment and lives of the Balti people; experiencing fun, friendship and shared commitment in achieving a common goal with a previously unknown group of people who immediately learned to pull together and support each other at every turn. Stunning, spectacular scenery from roaring angry rivers, to ice-cold glaciers, unimaginable snow capped rugged peaks, sandy desert and sparkling mineral filled rocky fields kept us captivated at every turn.

KE and Baltistan Tours provided everything they promised and more. Totally satisfied and will go with them again in the next 6 months.

Great adventure in a little known but fascinating country
The High Caucasus mountains were remote and beautiful, a little like the French Alps without France! There were few roads, no shops or any kind of infrastructure. Many of the villages are cut off in the winter. The scenery was green and lush and quite difficult underfoot sometimes. It rained a lot, luckily for us almost always at night! We were well looked after in the camps, I got a tent to myself by luck but might next time pay out for the single supplement as it was much easier to deal with wet weather. The trekking was easy some days and more strenuous others - the itinerary had to be changed because landslides had taken out some of the footbridges, but I didn't feel we missed out. The trek guide Beqa was very competent and reassuring, and the overall guide and interpreter Levan was always interesting, helpful and good-natured. Food and everything was great, one suggestion would be to offer everyone a cuppa on their return from the trek, it would have made things more social at late afternoon time. The hotel in Tbilisi was nice and in a perfect location. Tbilisi is a wonderful capital city, buzzing at all times of day and night, so much to see and do, and a really friendly place to be. I booked my own flights and was glad of that, because I arrived in Tbilisi at about 1am, instead of the included flight arrival time of 6am. So I got a night's sleep before going off on trek. On the way back everyone else left at 4am, I stayed an extra couple of days and got a flight leaving at 4.30pm, much more civilised! (that was with Ukrainian International). Georgia is culturally a really interesting place, a different perspective but very accessible. And the wine is excellent. I really recommend this trip.

Ladakh adventure cut short by a dog bite
Having enjoyed KE's Tso Moriri and Lungser Kangri trek some years ago, five of us decided to return to this remote and lovely wilderness for the same trek but new climb of Mentok Kangri. Tragically for me, my holiday was cut short on day 5, just as we were about to start the trek. A stray dog nipped my leg and although the wound was insignificant, the risks of rabies, tetanus and other infections were not. I am deeply disappointed to miss ...

Tragically for me, my holiday was cut short on day 5, just as we were about to start the trek. A stray dog nipped my leg and although the wound was insignificant, the risks of rabies, tetanus and other infections were not. I am deeply disappointed to miss what I know to be a wonderful trekking experience in a truly wild corner of the world. Five years ago we saw wolves and Tibetan "kyang" (wild asses), but barely another human for two weeks.

This was to be my tenth trip with KE Adventure Travel, who I have always considered the best when it comes to trekking holidays. On this occasion, their trek leader was quick to administer first aid and seek advice. After taking me to hospital, he sought options to enable me to continue the trip but it became clear that the course of treatments would make this impossible. He returned to the group, leaving me in the capable hands of KE's ground agent, RIMO Expeditions in Leh, who were tremendously helpful and got me back to Delhi the next day. From this point on I was in the hands of my insurance company, who were in charge of my medical assistance and getting me home. Nonetheless KE in Cumbria and RIMO in Delhi were in daily contact which was very reassuring and supportive. I cannot thank them enough for the great service - and will definitely travel with KE again.
We are so disapointed for you that you were unable to continue with the group, but very relieved that you are safe and well. Thank you for your kind words about KE and we look forward to seeing you again on a future adventure.

Fantastic Trek
The Tour des Combins in Switzerland and Italy. Manageable paths through stunning scenery. Accommodation in moutain huts and a hotel, all food included, picnis as well. Excellent guide who paced the group very well.

Ascent of Gran Paradiso and Mont Blanc
A six-day package during which we spent two days climbing Gran Paradiso in Italy followed a day at high altitude on a glacier practicing snow ice and rock techniques before the ascent of Mont Blanc over a total of three days. The logistics and organization of the holiday were excellent in every respect. The staff running our accommodation and the guides which were provided during our time in the mountains were all first class.

KE Adventure Travel. Full marks for their very good website, the booking process, the handling of questions and the execution of the holiday. Their staff at the chalet where we were based in France were some of the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met.

A really excellent week in the mountains and a fine introduction to Georgia
It was a week's trekking in the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia. Although there were three nights in hotels (at the start and end), most nights were in tents in remote areas. Vehicles were provided, enabling the camping gear and our heavier baggage to be transported by road (or mountain track!). This meant that we only needed light day sacks, making a big difference in enjoyment of some very long days and steep ascents. This part of the Caucasus ...

Vehicles were provided, enabling the camping gear and our heavier baggage to be transported by road (or mountain track!). This meant that we only needed light day sacks, making a big difference in enjoyment of some very long days and steep ascents. This part of the Caucasus was incredibly green, with masses of wild flowers even at over 3000m. As well as our time in the mountains, the holiday included visits to churches, museums and other sites in and around Tbilisi. At all times the trek leader was friendly, helpful and good company and this extended to the rest of the crew who made the whole experience very memorable

KE are very experienced in providing this kind of tour. Although I know of them, this was my first holiday with KE. However, several members of the group have traveled with them before and were very positive about them as a company. I felt that the success of the holiday largely reflected their experience, their commitment to service and their selection of an excellent local company to provide logistical support and day-to-day services during the trek.

Brilliant trek adapted specially for me.
This was a strenuous trekking holiday on high mountains. I had some health issues shortly before going and wondered what to do. I shared these concerns with the holiday company. They went out of their way to find out detailed options, one of which I ended up taking.

KE Adventure backed up an excellent back office service in terms of speed, quality and detail of response with an excellent in country leader who knew about my concerns. This all made for a very smooth adaptation of the holiday to suit my needs. I was not made to feel difficult or a nuisance but that the. adaptation for me was no trouble. All efforts were made to keep me as part of the group. This was an outstanding service.

Tour Des Combins with KE Adventure
6 day high altitude trek around this little known region in Switzerland/Italy. Fabulous views and very quiet (unlike the tour de mont blanc) A hidden gem!
