Best of Botswana, Camping Safari by Karen, 24 Jul 2017

Lions, leopards and cheetahs

This was the real safari experience - apart from the rhinos, no-one hid; we saw leopards and cheetahs and so many lions we once asked the driver/guide if we could get nearer the nicely posed vultures instead of hanging round the lion. Wild camping has its drawbacks if you hear hyena calls all night and find lion track behind your tent, but I think it really made this holidays. Wild camping has its drawbacks if you hear hyena calls all night and find lion track behind your tent, but I think it really made this holidays. It was actually Victoria Falls that was on my bucket list, but despite having high expectations, this proved to be the most spectacular thing I have ever seen in my life.

KE is my favourite mountain hiking company, and they are generally good to the extent that I am tending to stick with them now I have to do somewhat less strenuous holidays. I always book by phone and not online as I've been up some really good hints from the staff I have booked with.

Choquequirao to Machu Picchu by Travelgirl, 21 Jul 2017

Incredible Choquequirao Adventure

I can't recommend this trek enough to others. Like other KE Adventure trips I've been on, this adventure took us off the beaten path and in front of future "progress." I'm always thrill to have the great honor of visiting locations where it seems few others tend to go and where crowds are no where in sight. We got to explore the great ruins of Choquequirao completely on our own and for as long as we liked. We got to explore the sites as ...

I'm always thrill to have the great honor of visiting locations where it seems few others tend to go and where crowds are no where in sight. We got to explore the great ruins of Choquequirao completely on our own and for as long as we liked. We got to explore the sites as through we were some of the first people to view the place, or so it felt. Along the way, we stopped in lovely local villages connecting with friendly locals and playing with their playful doggies and children. The days hiking were challenging making us work for the rewards and bonding us all as a group. I loved evenings camped out under a sky full of stars and yummy meals prepared in the middle of what seemed to be "no where" by excellent staff. This was an exceptional journey and one I recommend folks go on sooner rather than after it gains in popularity.

Rating for tour operator:

This is my second journey with KEAdventure and far from my last. Both trips had truly exceptional guides, the best support staff, fantastic itineraries, great hiking, and an emphasis on the well being of everyone involved. I can't wait for my next trip with KE in a month!!!

Family Adventures in the Algarve by Susannah, 20 Jul 2017

Wonderful family time in gorgeous setting

Our family had an amazing adventure in southern Portugal. We biked, kayaked, surfed, rock climbed, swam and traveled all over the southwestern part of the Algarve. The food was amazing and the host family was delightful. I highly recommend this trip for an active family who wants to have fun, be active, and learn about a different part of the world from knowledgeable hosts. Jonathan Neill and his wife Violeta are lovely and caring people who have created a magical environment in southern Portugal. They are able to read the group well and create activities and a schedule that suits the group. We were well cared for, challenged, and entertained -- and the food was amazing.

Cycling tour from Victoria Falls to Cape Town

This is a truly epic tour. We saw so much of Southern Africa which has a staggering variety of scenery and experiences. Cycling is tough but rewarding.

Trekking and sightseeing in Bolivia

A two week trip to Bolivia combining many sights and trekking inclding a 6000m summit. We visited Lake Titcaca, the Potosi Silver Mines and the Uyuni Salt Flats. The trip was extremely varied and interesting with an excellent guide who combined a thorough knowledge of the history and culture of Bolivia with good humour and patience.

Walking the Albanian Alps by Sandusky, 3 Jul 2017
Holiday Rating:

Outstanding value for money in a beautiful undiscovered part of Europe. The Alps without the crowds.

Superb trekking in a remote area of the Alps, and in a country still emerging from years of isolation. Warm welcoming people, superb unspoiled scenery, great food.
