This was a trip of a lifetime. I have always wanted to go to Graceland and as this was a ‘Special’ birthday we decided to go all out and make it a trip to remember. We started off flying First Class to New Orleans, the Hotel chosen for us was lovely and we received a free cocktail at the Carousel Bar to celebrate my birthday. We stayed there for 4 nights and did lots of exploring around New Orleans. We then hired a car and drove to Tupelo, where we stayed for 2 nights, another great Hotel. Visiting Elvis’ birth place was a very emotional experience and very worthwhile. I think one night here would have been sufficient in retrospect but we didn’t know that at the time. From there, we drove to Memphis to stay at the Guesthouse at Graceland, where we stayed for 3 nights. We booked the TCB Suite which was incredible. Very big and comfortable. The next day on my birthday we went to Graceland, I booked the UVIP tour which was well worth the price to be able to see places and go into the archives which other tours can’t see. I cried (a lot) at Graceland and I felt Elvis’ spirit everywhere. I spent some time at his grave with my own thoughts on my own (my husband respectfully left me to just stand and think about Elvis. He took photo’s of me as I was all alone at his grave). The following day we went to Sun Studios (an absolute must on this trip) and then we walked down Beale Street and had the best Banana milkshake I have ever tasted! After saying goodbye to Elvis and Memphis we then flew to New York for 4 nights. Another great Hotel was chosen for us right in the heart of Manhattan and an easy commute to see all the usual attractions. The Hotel kindly sent a lovely bottle of wine to our room on the first night and wished me a happy birthday. We visited everything! Sadly, the day we went to the Empire State Building it was thick fog and we couldn’t see anything. We were offered the opportunity of changing the day but our schedule was so packed we couldn’t fit it in, so just stayed with the original booking (I need to go back to experience it fully). The Ground Zero experience was very emotional but well worth the visit. We even managed to negotiate trips on the Underground! Having seen everything we could on our 4 day trip we then flew Business Class back home. What an incredible trip, this is one I will never, ever forget. It was organised impeccably from start to finish by my local Travel Agent Garstang Travel and Cruise Shop and Vacations America. I cannot thank them both enough for their support, and wonderful organisation on our behalf. They even provided us with our own holiday booklet with an itinerary of each individual place and useful information before our departure, to help us plan our trip. We found this to be extremely useful. December 2024 will live in my memory and heart forever! ❤️

A fried recommended Vacations to America to help plan and book our bespoke holiday to Nashville, Memphis & New Orleans, along with a seven night trip down the Mississippi on the American Queen. It was a trip of a lifetime from which we return with so many wonderful memories of the music cities, that fabulous paddle steamer, the Grand OleOprey, Graceland, the French Quarter....the list is endless.

Really impressed with the level of service that Nan and her team gave us . We had been waiting to do the trip for 8 years and yet they still had our original route available. I will always use Vacations to America and have recommended them to every one we met. All the hotels were really impressed with the trip diary that they supplied . A full 5 stars to them.

We had booked a fly drive holiday to the coast of North Carolina some months in advance and the day before we flew news was coming in that Hurricane Florence was about to hit the coast of North Carolina! We moved inland to the mountains and stayed in a wonderful inn which was so relaxing. We were able to continue our second week as planned and had a complete change visiting Charleston and Savannah which were great cities to explore on foot although the humidity did hit you! Loved the food and architecture.

We cannot thank Julie at Vacations who rearranged the first week of our holiday the day before we flew and recommended a place in the Smoky Mountains so we avoided the coast. Far from being disappointed we loved our first week and had a wonderful time. We have used Vacations to America several times and we always feel we get a personal service from friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Thank you.

14 day 'tailor made trip' to the USA featuring Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York using Amtrak between cities

This is the third trip to the USA arranged for us by 'Vacations to America' through our chosen Travel Agent - Fred Olsen Travel. The arrangements for each trip have worked perfectly with excellent documentation and guidance notes and first rate accommodation in very good locations. I have no hesitation in recommending both 'Vacations to America' and Fred Olsen Travel.

We flew to Nashville spending four nights at the Hotel Indigo moving on to Memphis using the Greyhound bus staying three nights at the River Inn of Harbor Town before taking the Amtrak for a five night stay in New Orleans at the Old 77 Hotel & Chandlery.

The holiday was booked through our local tour operator Kyle Travel who as helpful as always. The only disappointment we had was the private transfer that was booked when we arrived at Nashville airport did not arrive. When I called I was told it had been arranged for the next morning and can only put this down communication error

We visited New Orleans, Memphis (Graceland), Nashville (Grand Ole Opry), Dollywood, Smoky Mountains, Chattanooga, Atlanta and Hilton Head. Everyone was just so nice to us.

This was our 3rd holiday booked with Vacations to America. I appreciated Julie's patience whilst putting the package together for us.

We started in Memphis, spent two days at the Peabody Hotel and loved it. We then moved on by car to Nashville. We spent 2 nights at the Sheraton Downtown. Perfectly placed for lots of exciting places. Again the hotel was great. Next we moved on again to Sevierville. We stayed at Berry Springs Lodge. The accommodation was excellent and the view of the smokey mountains was amazing. After 2 days we move on to Camden where we spent 1 evening at the Bloomsbury Inn. . Again the accommodation was faultless. The owner was lovely. We made our final move and spent 7 nights in a house at sea pines on Hilton Head. The house was excellent and very relaxing. The whole trip was great.

Vacations to America are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are always helpful and very knowledgable. I would not use any other tour operator for my holiday bookings.
