UK destinations don’t come further flung than Shetland & Fair Isle; this six-night fly-drive demonstrates why they are two of our favourite islands.
Over the past few years we’ve fallen head-over-heels for Shetland, a wonderful land of oddness and otherness, rich in antiquity, unique culture, incredible scenery, warm welcomes and the longest of summer evenings.
Squeezed between Shetland and Orkney, Fair Isle is an isolated outpost, a tiny and breath-takingly beautiful jewel, rich in birdlife and with a dedicated community eager to welcome the few intrepid visitors who make the journey each year. It could be you…
We’ve designed this six night fly-drive trip to give you the best possible chance of reaching Fair Isle – changeable weather conditions can make it a challenge to alight, so we’ve used our expertise and local contacts to build in flexibility. This means you also have time to explore the myriad delights of Mainland Shetland.
All our trips are tailor-made, so just let us know if you’d like to spend longer in the far north, perhaps combining with Orkney too.
