Luxury Horse Riding Malaga

Luxury Horse Riding Malaga Overview

On this wonderful riding holiday you will have the opportunity to ride beautifully trained horses close to Malaga. You will be staying in luxury hacienda accommodation boasting spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Daily rides include dressage or jumping lessons and trail rides plus half board accommodation.

Sample Itinerary: Day 1 Arrive into Malaga airport. We can either collect you from here or you can hire a car and we will send you driving directions. (Transfer details below). We are less than 45 minutes from the airport so you can be relaxing at our pool bar within hours of landing! You will be staying in a 200 year old recently restored luxury Hacienda with facilities including a heated infinity pool (not heated Nov - March), private gardens, Chapel lounge, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and shady gazebos overlooking the valley and acres of olive groves and pine forests. All rooms are en-suite and have been restored in typical Andalucían style with bamboo ceilings and rustic tiles. Once arrived and settled in, the daily activities ahead will be discussed and if time permits you will start with an assessment lesson. If you wish we will take a video of this and one again at the end of the holiday; this should enable you to see the improvement made during your stay. The aim of this break is to improve your equestrian skills and you can choose from a mixture of lessons and trail rides under the careful guidance of our excellent instructors. Day 2 & Day 3 Today your riding programme begins in earnest - riding programmes are flexible and include both lessons and riding out. There is instruction for beginners but there is also instruction available for more experienced riders if they would like to try some high school movements on well trained Andalucian horses. If you just want to ride out that is fine too you can ride out in the countryside as a beginner as soon as the instructor deems that it is safe to do so. For the treks we have different routes, some longer and some shorter, we make every effort to tailor your riding experience especially for you! Our 2-3 hour rides include a visit to our local bar to enjoy a well earned drink and tapas; you will pass through the National Park which is a treasure, the pine trees offer shelter from the sun in the summer months. Early morning or evening rides are a must in July/August. There will be the opportunity to take part part in carriage rides with training to drive and tack up a carriage horse. This is included in the price and may be taken in place of a lesson. There is also a trip to Cordoba once a week to to see the city and the horse show - price 50 Euros including a ticket to see the show (subject to a minimum of 5). Day 4 This morning after breakfast, is usually our picnic ride. The more experienced riders will be able to enjoy a canter. We take a delicious picnic which is served in an idyllic spot at the bottom of La Camorra. Guests will then return home in the afternoon. After a rest we will be visiting a local tapas bar in town this evening to enable you to appreciate a bit of our local 'atmosphere'. Day 5 Sadly today it is time to head home. Transfers back to Malaga are available upon request.
