Situated in the south-west corner of the park, far away from other camps, this is a real wilderness experience. The stylish, colonial camp consists of eight ‘tents’ (large, stylish canvas constructions with high-quality furnishings on polished wooden floors), raised up on wooden platforms, spread along the banks of the Jongomero River. From your veranda you can observe a variety of animals, including elephant, walking down the seasonally dry riverbed.

Arriving by rowing boat across the calm waters of a lagoon, this is an ideal place to completely relax at the end of your trip. Ras Kutani is a rustic yet sophisticated lodge on a quiet, wild and beautiful stretch of sandy beach, tucked in amongst lush vegetation. The food here is excellent: tasty and imaginative with plenty of seafood incorporated into the menus.
