From the minute Chione picked up the phone she was very professional. She was so patient with the number of changes I made throughout the booking process.

A fantastic, relaxing holiday in Laos with many wonderful experiences

We entered Laos from Northern Thailand and spent 2 very relaxing days cruising down the Mekong River to Luang Prabang. We had 4 days in Luang Prabang which was fabulous. Such a lovely, interesting town with so many interesting experiences nearby. We then spent a couple of days in Oudomxay which included a visit to several hill villages, and a couple of days in Vientiane. We finished up in Ho Chi Minh City for a couple of days - the highlight was the evening Vespa tour - exhilarating and such fun!

Rating for tour operator:

The tour operator was fantastic - helping us put together a tour that was tailored very specifically for us with just the right balance between interesting experiences and relaxation. They had experienced personally everything they recommended and therefore nothing disappointed during our tour. A superb personal service!

First time visiting Laos

Our 3 week holiday started with a few days in Thailand before crossing the border into Laos where we spent the majority of our time, finishing off with 2 days in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. The whole trip was fantastic but Laos was a real highlight. It is far less developed and far more rural than Thailand or Vietnam. For most of the time in Laos we felt like we were amongst very few tourists, so it really felt like we were seeing it before it becomes too commercialised. The countryside was beautiful and the people were really gentle, friendly and kind. Highlights were our 2 day boat trip down the Mekong. The ancient capital Luang Prabang - which was a fantastic small city with loads to see and do. Then 5 nights chilling at La Folie Lodge on an island in the Mekong which was really relaxing and felt 'cut off'. We finished up with a busy but really interesting and fun couple of days in Ho Chi Minh where the highlight was the night time scooter tour which was just exhilarating and fun. All in all a great trip.

Experience Travel were really good. The organisation and itinerary were excellent. All went like clockwork. The activities we had chosen were all great, with the standout one being the visit to the rice farm outside Luang Prabang - a fascinating and fund half day. All in all Experience Travel had organised the perfect balance of travelling, activities and relaxing.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We couldn't agree more- Loas is a real hidden gem with so much to offer! It is often overlooked for it's well known neighbours, so we love organising trips there to help people discover it's magic.

A truly memorable holiday

Spent a few days in Northern Thailand and then travelled into Laos via the Mekong River with 3 days of river cruises. Spent memorable times in Luang Prabang, Plain of Jars, Vientiane ,4.000 islands and Champasak. Learnt so much about the history of Laos and local customs. A truly awesome holiday in a country which is not fully on the tourist trail.

Wonderful Laos

14 day holiday staying at Luang Prabang, Champasak and Vientiane using local guides/transport organised by our tour operator. We were able to meet locals and visit some places a little off the main tourist areas as well as some days to ourselves - accommodation, food and above all the people were wonderful.

Fantastic customer service led to a memorable holiday in Laos.

We booked our second holiday with Experience Travel Group, this time to Laos. The attention to detail pre travel was impressive, and even during the holiday, our agent always had our best interests at heart and genuinely cared that it was a holiday to remember. Any minor issues that we faced eg change in flight schedules were met head on and dealt with in a very positive manner. I had complete trust in this company to deliver a fantastic holiday ...
