Excellent tour of Portugal starting from Lisbon and ending in Porto. The choice of hotels were outstanding and could only come from a tour company with such intimate knowledge of the area. Although we thoroughly research what we want to see on a holiday the information given by our tour operators was fab. Loved the app also. Great way to make sure you don't lose any vital paperwork. Also, we did have to contact the operator whilst on holiday with a little issue, this matter was dealt with so swiftly we were amazed. Can't thank Camino by Casa Cantabricas enough for a great itinerary.

We were a group of 8 family members and from the first contact with Casas Cantabricas the experience was easy and every interaction was helpful,timely and made the whole experience wonderful. The villa was lovely in a great setting,very well equipped and very special . The setting in the vineyards was peaceful and relaxing,and the owner was helpful but not intrusive.There was plenty of space for everyone to be able to relax in their own way . Fantastic.

Casas Cantabricas were exceptionally helpful with just the right amount of input and very timely responses to any questions. We felt valued and will use them again.

Northern Spain - pilgrim way with 6 great stops

Friendly, helpful and clearly experienced

We flew into Oviedo airport, picked up a hire car and then spent 9 nights in a self catering, three storey village house near Colunga, in Asturias. We moved east for 3 nights in Bilbao and then drove back, westwards, and spent 3 nights in a small hotel at Traceno, before flying out from Oviedo again. We drove around exploring the countryside, mountains and coast, and the lovely small towns and villages of the area.

We used Casas Cantabricas and they could not have been more helpful...it was like having a knowledgeable friend on the end of the phone. I had been struggling to find accommodation amongst the wealth on the internet and found their website. I telephoned and spoke to Andy McCulloch and from then on everything slotted easily into place. I explained roughly what I wanted to do and he immediately came up with a selection of lovely looking properties in the areas I said and then helped with availability and the final tuning so that we ended up with exactly what we wanted. He also helped arranging car hire and is still assisting with an insurance claim. The company also provide a very comprehensive App with all paperwork and information about the area available. The properties were as described and everything ran smoothly. We were also reassured that he was on the end of the phone throughout the holiday if needed.

We flew to Asturias airport, hired a car and then did a circular tour, staying at Puerto de Vega, Val de Silencio, Leon, Potes, Santillana de Mar and Libardon. The hotels were all booked for us by Casa Cantabricas and we were given detailed directions for travelling between each destination. It was a perfect mix of coast and mountains and the scenery was amazing. Les Picos de Europa has scenery to rival the Rockies! We particularly liked the fact that we seemed to be the only English people there.

The service provided by Casa Cantabricas was excellent. From the first contact, we received prompt and courteous replies to all our queries. Our holiday was tailored to fit all our requests/requirements and the information provided to assist us before and during our trip was detailed, interesting and extremely useful. We would highly recommend this tour operator.

Very helpful

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around Portugal. We loved the mixture of cities, towns, hilltop villages and countryside. The accommodation was carefully chosen by the Casas team and ranged from the grandeur of a former palace in Coimbra to a delightful rural guesthouse in Castelo Rodrigo. Highlights of the trip included a night time excursion with a private guide to see the spectacular Palaeolithic rock art in the Côa Valley, a wonderful boat trip along the Douro river from Pinhão and the best meal ever in Aveiro.

This was our third touring holiday with Casas Cantabricas. The trips are always carefully planned for the customer, and can be tailor made to suit individual requirements. In our experience the company always arranges excellent accommodation, provides detailed information about local activities and sightseeing as well as great recommendations for eating out.

3 generations 8 to 71 all had a great time in a lovely and interesting part of Spain

We stayed in very high quality and beautifully restored accommodation next door to our welcoming and helpful hosts. We were able to properly explore the fascinating area through making use of our hosts' local knowledge. They even invited to accompany us to the local village fiesta and introduce us to the locals.

Casas Cantabricas were very helpful throughout the booking process, in answering pre-holiday questions, providing assistance when we were delayed and in providing information at the accommodation. A 5-star experience.
