Vale of Lorton

Vale of Lorton Overview

Our Vale of Lorton route is a quiet and peaceful holiday with spectacular scenery based around the lakes of Loweswater, Crummock & Buttermere in the beautiful north west corner of the Lake District.

The Vale of Lorton is our kindest holiday. It generally keeps to relatively flat valley bottoms on well defined tracks and country lanes, with one exception of a mountain pass with an easy climb of 200m. The days are quite short so there is plenty of time to soak up the spectacular scenery and tranquillity. The walk starts and finishes in Keswick, a bustling market town.
